FILLMORE HISTORY

The Boom Boom Room, and Rasselas Jazz Club offer intimate settings to watch live music while enjoying drinks, while Yoshi’s Jazz Club serves high end jazz and other musical acts on its state-of-the-art-stage. Yoshi’s high end Japanese cuisine earned a spot in The Chronicle newpaper’s Top 100 Bay Area Restaurants. The adjoining Fillmore Heritage Center brings to life the Fillmore’s history through the museum’s rotating exhibits, while its art gallery features an array of local talent. 1300 on Fillmore has quickly made a name for owners/chef David Lawrence and Monetta White, who offer up fine soulful food often accompanied by a jazz trio or gospel group during their well-known Sunday Gospel Brunches.

These venues, along with many other fine restaurants and unique shops that line the street, make The Fillmore once again the entertainment heart and soul of San Francisco.
