1300 on Fillmore serves “Soulful American” cuisine prepared by internationally-acclaimed chef David Lawrence. Lawrence, who combines classic French
cooking techniques with hints of southern flavors uses fresh, California
seasonal ingredients. Signature items include: fresh water shrimp hush puppies,
organic skillet-fried chicken served with whipped potatoes, maple syrup
marinated slow-braised short ribs and barbecue shrimp with creamy hominy
grits. The restaurant seats 136, and has a private dining room. A Heritage Wall
of historic portraits shows off the Fillmore’s past. Enjoy 1300’s world famous
Gospel Brunch the first and third Sunday of each month.
“Some restaurants simply fuel the body, while others, such as 1300 on Fillmore,
ignite the imagination.”
